During the summer some of the best memories come from being on the road and travel from rodeo to rodeo. Every year I make new goals for myself, some more challenging than others. Most people think that rodeo is just about “Cowgirls and cowboys”, but your not completely right. Everyone I know that rodeos takes passion in the animals you own. We look at them as our athletes, we strive to keep them healthly and in shape all year. If your horse isnt health and sound they wont be competing at the top of their game and the chances of you winning anything become very slim.
So much of rodeo involves family, having a supportive family that stands behind you no matter what; is honestly the best feeling in the world. My family help me out with so many things in the summer time. When im gone for the day or weekend: at a rodeo they make sure to hold down the fort and take care of my other animals while I am gone. My mother also does alot of the driving when we go on long trips or when we decide to drive home late at night after the rodeo ends. My mother also is kinda like a personally cook on the road, many times I will get up early in the morning to go out and do chores and get the horses exercised and when I come back to the trailer she will have breakfast all whipped up. I know my parents love to see me do well and pull a nice check after working my butt off, and thats why I love to win!
