The county fair is by fair one of the best times of the summer. We spend months every year preparing our animals for one week of the summer. Gates open to bring the animals in on Wednesday afternoon and we arent released until Sunday night. During the fair you spend most of your time either showing or taking care of the animal you are showing. Sleeping and eating on a regular schedule are not part of this equation. So by the end of the week you are almost sure to be tired and crabby.
Although I cant pick out just one thing I like most about the fair, here are a couple that top my list. First off I love the food, during the week of fair I eat so much greasy fryer food that I could probably turn into a grease ball. I also love the lemonade that coming in the big cups. I also enjoy being able to talk to so many people at the fair. Many people dont get to be around animals on a daily basis so for them coming to the fair and seeing all these animals is very exciting to them.
